ABOUT THE FARM
Kraay Family Farm is home of the world-famous Lacombe Corn Maze and one of Central Alberta’s most loved seasonal family attractions. Located just west of Lacombe, the farm brings together outdoor adventure, farmyard fun, seasonal events, and more than 50 attractions and amenities in one memorable destination.
What started with a corn maze has grown into a full farm experience where families, friends, school groups, and visitors can spend the day playing, exploring, and making memories. Each season brings something new, from the annual corn maze design to sunflower fields, pumpkin season, farm activities, photo spots, and special events.
Guests can explore the corn maze, wander through the sunflower maze, visit the farmyard, bounce on the jumping pillows, play mini golf, race down the hill slides, try gemstone mining, meet animals, enjoy games, and take part in seasonal favourites such as Sunflower Days and Pumpkin Days. The farm is designed for all kinds of visitors: young kids with endless energy, parents looking for a full-day family outing, grandparents making memories, school groups learning outside the classroom, and travellers looking for a unique thing to do in the Lacombe and Red Deer area.
For us, the best part of Kraay Family Farm is seeing people spend time together. We love watching families laugh their way through the maze, kids discover a new favourite activity, friends turn a visit into a yearly tradition, and guests return season after season to see what is new.

MEET THE FARMERS
The Kraay family began farming in Central Alberta in the early 1980s, operating a hog farm just west of Lacombe. In 2000, they opened the Lacombe Corn Maze, welcoming guests to the farm and creating a place where families could enjoy the outdoors, make memories, and experience a little bit of farm life.
Over the years, the farm has grown from a single corn maze into Kraay Family Farm, with attractions, animals, food, and activities enjoyed by thousands of visitors each season. Through it all, it has remained a family-run operation rooted in agriculture, hospitality, and community.
Today, Kraay Family Farm is owned and operated by Reuben and Rachel Kraay, alongside their three children. While much has changed since those early days, the farm's purpose remains the same: creating a place where families can spend time together, make lasting memories, and enjoy a taste of life on the farm.
We’re really excited to share our farm with our guests. We truly enjoy seeing people having fun learning and playing on the farm. That’s why we do this; we want to see people come back to the farm, enjoy their time here, and get a taste of farm life.
