What’s in a name?

So, why do we use a Crow in our logo, you may be wondering? Our family name KRAAY (or KRAAI as it was once spelled)  actually means CROW in Dutch. For interest sake, it comes from Middle Dutch craie ‘crow’, and was given as a nickname for someone thought to resemble a crow, such as chattering or having a loud voice or maybe even having dark hair.

I’m not sure what that says about our family,  but we always enjoy a good chat! If you ever see one of us Crows hanging out on the farm please don’t hesitate to come and say hi!
